The Digital Economy Regional Conference will take place in Abuja from January 31st to February 1st, where policymakers and stakeholders in the digital economy ecosystem of the West African sub-region will gather to discuss the future of the digital economy and strengthen regional public-private partnerships.
The conference is being hosted by the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with the World Bank. The conference theme is “Positioning West Africa’s Digital Economy for the Future” and will provide a platform for countries in the region to discuss ways to strengthen their digital economies and increase collaboration for innovation and entrepreneurship. The conference will also showcase progress made in the development of the digital economy in the West African sub-region, identify successful strategies, and prepare for the future while raising awareness of the region’s needs in terms of policies and frameworks for the digital economy, and attracting private sponsors for digital transformation in the region.
